It seems like each program is different. The MLA program says that course are taught in English, but the MArch says that it is taught in "mostly German." for all the programs they have a section listing "Course Languages: x % German" or what ever the courses are taught in.

Also, think about all the things that you here simply in passing that affect the way you think or work. Without a fluency in the langue, you miss all that good stuff.

When I was interested in ETH MArch course I wrote to the coordinator and he told that in fact everything is in English and I don't have to worry about it. He said that in future they'll try to make all courses mostly in engish.

Pigeon, you are required to have German level C1 for admittance into the architecture program.
Some courses / studios are English, but you still need German proficiency for admissions.

... Or at least that's what the website says. You could probably contact the school directly for a better answer though.

If you're without the German qualifications though, you could always try ETH's sister school in the Mendrisio (Italian-speaking part of Switzerland). They don't have any language requirements for admissions (but they do offer intensive Italian courses for newcomers, as many of their students are international).
