Hi everyone! I just wanted to extend an invitation to a discussion we're hosting that is free to attend, and virtual (anyone can attend from anywhere) on Architecture Islands in Second Life called: “The Learning Curve for Architectural Education in Second Life” as part of this year’s WIAOC 2009 conference. (more info can be found here: http://archvirtual.com/?p=1173 )
It will be held on Friday, May 22nd at 11am PDT (18.00 GMT) at this SLurl: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Architecture%20Island/174/128/22/?title=ArchiTECOOL (note: if you don’t have an account, click this link, then click ‘Sign Up’ in the upper right corner. After you set up your account, you will be automatically teleported to the site where this discussion will be held.)
The past several months have seen a significant increase in the use of Second Life in architectural education, and there is a lot we can learn from each other. What’s working? What’s not working? How do we motivate students? What can we learn form other schools? How do the needs of architectural educators and students compare with other departments?
Please forward this to any architecture colleagues who may be interested!
