How do I get a similar image using vray for rhino? I am using the neon plugin -- no sun and one spot light to get the image given by neon, while I cannot figure out how to do the same with vray. Any help will be gladly appreciated!
You'll probably have to tweak it heavily in photoshop to get that effect. Mess around with the gamma and exposure settings as well as contrast. filters

Try disabling global illumination. Doing so would produce hard shadows like in the sample image.
Looks like this is something you can easily achieve with even a basic scanline renderer.
