Greetings, everyone. My name is Samuel Ganton, and I am just wondering who else has been accepted at the University of Waterloo for undergrad architecture, fall 2009. And are you planning to go accept their offer?
I am interested in getting to know those I will be studying with next year, and also in hearing your thoughts on the interview/portfolio and precis process.
Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted!
hey samuel!
i got in... but i kind of don't think i'm going. i'm leaning towards carleton. i guess i should tell waterloo asap, though.
good luck with everything!!!
my interview went well... even though i think it was kind of shit. but i showed them a lot of stuff... way too much, maybe? but it was good. they saw i was talented and liked it.
the precis was blahh.
i barely finished.
i wrote bullshit
and i know i failed
but i think they saw that my process of thinking was good? idk...
i hear that everyone fails and as long as you finish it creatively then you get in.
how old are waterloo first year? I know some undergrad program don't necessarily have "fresh out" of high school population...and in a place like Cambridge, no offence but it looks dull...unless if there are a lot of girls there.
they said that like a third of first year aren't straight from high school... or something like that. but there are quite a few 'fresh out of the ocean' kids there...
and yeah cambridge does seem a bit dull :\ but i hear you can make your own social life and enjoy it. a lot of people seem to love the program...
Of the three associated cities (Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo), yes, Cambridge most approaches 'sketchy' but as a whole, I love the three cities. Then again, my favourite place I've lived so far was Hamilton, so your mileage may vary.
Anyway K-W is a very nice place to live and study.
if I applied to waterloo with 2 years of cegep and a year of university would i be accepted as a 3rd year student or do studio class follow a strict 4 year sequence.
