Couldn't find anything about this on older posts. Is Pratt well known outside of the US? Do they have a good rep? In other words, will having Pratt on a resume open any doors beyond the connections that one might make with faculty or other students? Thanks!
i am studying abroad right now for my master's, and i went to pratt for my undergrad, and yes, it does have a reputation. what will help you even further will be a relationship with faculty who have friends at other schools- for instance, my thesis advisor got his phd under my master's advisor.
One of my references is an architect/professor in Germany. She told me Pratt has a very strong reputation there, and I would assume that carries over to other European countries.
How about Pratt's rep in China? Are any US schools, aside from the Ivies, respected out there? It seems like chances are, if I did end up working in China, it would be for a western firm anyway, so I'd assume some degree of awareness of US schools. Anyone have anything to add from personal experience?
Im working in China-- and I have worked in London before as well-- U Texas tends to get a rep, because their school sets up these 6 month internships (frequently overseas) where they get school credit or something. Employers are approached, and i think that relations are maintained. I don't know if it's a high-cache rep, but they are decent employees. Pratt may have a rep in Rome/italy, since their rome program people prob. have connections all there.

I'm in the Caribbean... and yes it has a good reputation since a fair number of the more creative practices are run by Pratt grads
