i got my bachelor of architectural studies degree (3 years long-course) from university of melbourne about 2 years ago.
since then i work as a drafter until now.
i supposedly need to continue another 2 years to get my bachelor of architecture (now so-called master of architecture) in university of melbourne.
say if i have a killing portfolio, is it possible for me to get into M. arch II in those good universities in north america, such as gsapp, gsd, penn, virginia, berkeley, etc?
thank you in advance for anyone who can clarify this.
i think it varies from school to school, but for the most part schools are fine with foreign bachelors degrees. not sure about getting in to a m.arch II, though. ut austin didn't accept my 3 year bachelor of industrial design from QUT as equivalent to an american bachelors degree at all. gsd, i would almost guarantee you would have to do the 3+ m.arch I.
i have heard some good things about university of melbourne and it looks like they are going to be implementing a m.arch I program somewhat akin to those available in the states in 2010.
b. archi studies, straight away to m. arch II. is it possible?

that wouldn't work for you, those MArch II degrees like MSAAD at columbia aren't professional degrees - like the B.Arch or M.Arch - that you need.
