seems pretty close to what I observed/experienced between nyc, philly, LA, and mpls. there was a recession in the works prior to 9/11 as the chart shows and we didn't get the building bubble til '04.
hahaha.... as someone who turned down several jobs in 2007 to go to grad school, and is now nearing graduation with no offers, that looks about right. my timing sucks.

People keep asking about the unemployment rate among architects ... this is the first real data I've found that even attempts to answer that question.
I recognize that the chart above doesn't present well here ... you can view the source data at this link: Unemployment rate, Architecture and engineering occupations.

Concidering 100% of the people I know besides myself in architecture are currently unemployed I think the data is lagging by a few months.
