As to your question about UT financial aid, i actually haven't heard about that yet (i think in my previous post from last night, i meant to say that GSD offered me money, not UT--sorry for the confusion there); however, i remember reading somewhere on the website that UT doesn't offer scholarships to incoming graduate students...i mean, that really sounds rediculous but I swear i remember reading it...i'm looking thru the website trying to find where it said that again but i can't find it...
it may be possible that they just haven't notified us yet...
as to the "yankee" part--I'm from south Louisiana, born and raised...so you're all yankees to me haha

btw...for those who got into multiple Ivy schools, and worry about money: i think most of us are too poor to afford. BUT i have friends "equally poor" who after managing to hit a few schools like that, simply took advantage of their fortunate position and managed to get those schools to substantially increase their financial support. ...a few cases spelling "free ride"
i guess it's worth putting the game face on and trying to squeeze all the juice out of the orange... and there's lots of juice to squeeze. just take a peek at the endowments. (btw, all of the above does not apply to GSAPP as far as i know )
