Architecture + Film __ Montage and Narrative

modz

Hi,
I am working on a undergraduate research project based on Architecture + Film__exploring the mutual relationship amongst the two.

Everybody knows how Montage and Narrative are the building blocks of the language of Film, but, how does the same method apply to Architecture?

People like Eisentstein have worked on Montage and Architecture,
Tschumi says that Architecture is created through the dialect of spaces and events arranged in sequences.

I am looking for some concrete text which establishes the aforementioned relation of Architecture with Montage & Narrative.

Kindly voice your opinion/ideas/knowledge
Cheers.

Tschumi is a good start. Also Gevork Hartoonian's Ontology of Construction has a chapter linking montage and architectural tectonic. Also I read somewhere that Jean Nouvel thinks of his architecture as a film sequence... i think it was in some book that was specifically about film and architecture... if I can think of it I'll post again.
Best of luck.
