I'm planning to apply to MArch programs later this year (no arch background), and I was wondering...can I include term papers I wrote for my undergrad + grad level courses in architecture theory? Do you suppose there is any kind of architecture theory related term paper that would be inappropriate for a portfolio...?
i think that would be okay - i'd probably do a 1 page outline that summarizes the main points and your conclusions and then include the entire paper at the end of your portfolio.
it's doubtful anyone would read the whole thing (how long is it?) so you want to have something that shows your understanding of architectural theory to someone who's just flipping through hundreds of portfolios.
