I searched and found very little info on the UBC BENDS programme. Any info would be great, but I'm particularly interested in some portfolio suggestions.
I've submitted my request to change faculty/major online (I am currently in second year at UBC; this is when we are supposed to apply to the program, as it starts in third year). As I'm sure most people are, I'm pretty uneasy about the portfolio portion of my application. Has anyone on here done this program? If so, what was your portfolio like? The only examples that were available in the office were ones used for graduate landscape architecture.
Also, I am planning on taking the LEED AP exam at the end of February. Provided I pass, do you think it will be helpful for getting accepted? I also worked as a laborer/carpenter over the summer and volunteered in an internship program as a product library manager for a local green building resource centre; will these be helpful, or simply viewed as any other work experience?
Finally, does anyone know how a BENDS degree from UBC is viewed in the architecture community? I hope to be accepted into the University of Arizona for my graduate studies, which I believe is highly regarded; is this true?
Thanks a lot.
