CAD axonometric drawing

Alan

I'm trying to make a simple axonometric drawing, where the plan is rotated 45 degrees and the drawing is projected upwards (i.e., the plan is not skewed, as with say a 30 degree isometric).

Horizontally, in plan, circles remain as circles. But how can I draw circles in the vertical plane?

I am using AutoCAD 2005. There are options for drawing isometric (30 degree) circles, but I can't find anything in help or on the internet for my 45 degree axo.

Anyone able to help me out?

Hi, you have to go to:

VIEW - 3D VIEWS - VIEWPORT PRESETS

a window opens and in the space where it states XY PLANE you can type 45

To draw circles in the vertical plane you need to change the UCS. An easy way to get to know the UCS is add it to your toolbars and play with it.

Hope it helps.
