seriously though before you start spreading FUD (and yes i have a sense of humour):
maybe true for older models but the unibody macbook and macbook pro are really easy to upgrade. remove the battery latch , unscrew hard drive pin, pop in new hard drive, install os x and boom you're set to go. similar situation with the mac pro. I guess it's the mac mini, mb air and the imac that aren't easy but to get a computer that thin or small requires some sort of sacrifices. The ram is also easy to upgrade on all the machines except the mac mini and mb air (well technically you get the maximum ram in the machine anyway).
