I've been doing some work on petroleum infrastructure in LA and am definitely looking forward to seeing the Ruchala essay once it arrives in stores. Has anyone seen of these in person in the States?

Barry,
I finally got around to coughing up the dough for the book. I must say I am very happy I did. It is a such a well composed and intriguing work. All fellow "students of Los Angeles" need to order it immediately.

Your piece on Owens Lake was great. I kept thinking about that movie Chinatown while i read it. I'll comment more on the work later...but for now I thought I would just, say thanks for effort.
