Would a Minor in Math Help for Admission's?

Slev

Hey Everyone!

Well I am 3 semesters away from graduating with a bachelor's in fine art (Graphic design emphasis) and I was wondering if I added on a minor in mathematics if it would help my chances for acceptance when I apply next year for the fall of 2010?

I will be applying to school's such as, Columbia, Penn, Harvard, Pratt, Sci-arc etc...

I am worried that adding on the minor would decrease my gpa (which is now 3.8) or take away from some of my studio work that will go into my portfolio. But I do plan on taking the summer program at Gsapp. Any advice or opinion in helpful!

I don't really see how a math minor would help, but I think it would be a good idea for you to look at the prerequisites for the schools you are interested in and make sure you have those classes covered. Also, if you are interested in scripting and things like that, a minor in computer science could be helpful.
