I had a friend who once, drunkenly, used a broken Bic pen and a needle to give himself a rudementary tattoo on the back of his hand. About a week later, but just as drunk, he decided that the tattoo had been a bad idea and that he needed to get rid of it immediately. Luckily, he had a cigar handy and burnt it out, rendering himself no longer tatooed, but instead horribly disfigured.
I can see a similar situation being set in motion here.
Laser cutter + arm = Laser tattoos
Some people are just asking for serious injury....

oh dear....
may this thread enjoy the silent death it deserves.
I'm going for it, brb
if I had a laser cutter I'd try it on my knuckles since I'm not ready to commit for real ones there (yet)
my laser cutter (x-660) automatically shuts off the laser when the top is opened...
also, won't the fact that the surface being etched into is not planar cause the laser to go in and out of focus?
That is awesome!!!
Ryan: just gotta trick the relay that runs to the cover.
That's not tattooing, that's branding.
My friends once came up with the idea of doing decorative bruising. You'd always have a repeat clientele!
LOL@Chris_Hildrey
i'm offering to do experimental laser eye corrections for $10 an eye. any takers?

"Horribly disfigured" ? hahaha! A little burn on his hand?
As somebody with extensive branding, I wonder what that makes me?
Wait, don't answer that. Sign me up for the laser cutter!
