wire-frame perspectives in AutoCad

lola

Once you've built a 3-D model in AutoCad, can you create wireframe interior views? ie. In Autocad, can you place cameras inside the building to create interior perspectives. Any suggestions welcome.

unless things have changed, autocad doesn't use cameras. you can create multiple viewports and set the views independently in each one.

they're not cameras in the same sense as formz, viz, etc. But you can set your views by using the command 'dview' - and then following the prompts. I usually use the 'points' options where you pick the 'target point' and the 'camera point.' You can then use 3d orbit to pan, zoom and rotate your view. It's pretty simple and effective when you get the hang of it.

Cameras are part of AutoCAD 3D however it has to be the most unrewarding complex and difficult method from which to generate a perspective. Go for Sketch Up, I bet that you'll do more in the free trial than with full AutoCAD - and it will look better.
