this is one of the few albums that can be enjoyed from start to finish. no filler, all good music. cross between neosoul, folk, jazz with a tiny drop of kanye and a few shakes of andre3000.
if this is a 'recommend latest releases' thread, then check out Missiles by The Dears... track number seven has the greatest sound I've ever heard on a pop record... either heavily treated guitar or synth or a guitar-controlled synth.
Also the Mediaeval Baebes version of 'La Belle Dame Sans Merci' is just.. a great tune and with that olden-times vibe, rather good for autumn (fall, to youz chaps ;-)

nah, forget that buy ACDC - Black Ice, one of the best albums I've heard in a LONG TIME.
ummm, that would require walking into Wal-Mart. Not gonna happen.
Ok. I just bought another native from Detroit that is kinda under the radar. Check out Tronic from Black Milk.

Omigod, this song is thoroughly swell.
I don't usually listen to "rock 'n roll" because I like my music to have dirty incestuous sex with my insanity... but I am digging this band!
listen to "left for lunch" by the Unicorn Slaughters, best shit ever.
i am digging mosdub now which is mos def mixed with old classic dub tracks
I have no word for how weird this electro mixtape masterpiece is.
But it lead me to this excellent song.
CRYSTAL FIGHTERS "I LOVE LONDON"
I certainly love London, but not this much. and lastly,
Error Love - NIGHTLIFE SOUVENIRS
That concludes my in-bed survey of kitschy bizarre electro from the Channel.
Yeah i tried to get into Crystal Fighters....
I was iffy on Crystal Fighters until I heard this.
'Xstatic truth' Crystal Fighters
That sealed the deal!
NOT SURE. WILL THINK ABOUT IT. IT IS UNDER CONTROL.
old stuff
live portishead
Mmmmmm... DISCO!
The Golden Filter - "Thunderbird"
Post punk, anyone?
Wetdog - Lower Leg
Another band with crystal in the name. Crystal Stilts - Sugarbaby
Woah, those black girls can move it to 'rock 'n' roll!'
Maybe it's time to take a break. My head is heavy. Fallulah - I Lay My Head .
{The last one is definitely worth a listen.}
LOVE me some main source. good call 6-step.
also love to zone out to neil young's "dead man" album.
also a surprise

I am currently trying to figure out how i feel about Sleigh Bells
I don't think you have to think.
Sleigh Bells made me cream my pants.
if you like sleigh bells, check out these guys if you haven't already...
Death From Above 1979
mayhem!
I saw Death from Above 1979 live at the first Pitchfork Music Festival about 5 years ago. They were heavy, if a tad to ironic(al)
Yea, a few of their tracks verged on thrash-metal. I can see this disrupting the pitchfork vibe.
Thom Yorke, why haven't you suggested Radiohead?
Today, Cannae - Horror. On repeat. It made me want to smash my monitor, punch a client in the mouth and pretty much destroy everything in sight...
Excellent thread by the way. I've grown very bored of my iTunes library and have been looking for some new tunes. Though, this album is still constantly on repeat when I'm working...
