This was a pretty good show. More social, with only very basic structural background info.
Gets into egotism of politicians, engineers, funding, and likewise info. The changing needs of commercial activity.
Discussed construction methods, challenges.
Worker hazards, fatalities.
Bridge failures that led to researching the reasons for failure. (obv the infamous tacoma narrows)

the world's tallest skyscraper, host David Macaulay chronicles our aptitude
for altitude. On the way up, he highlights the remarkable achievements of
the Gothic cathedral builders and the almost-disaster of New York's
Citigroup (formerly Citicorp) Center.
