Building Style Mystery

chrios

I just bought a commercial building that I'm totally renovating.  I've been trying to figure out the architectural style for months now, and have drawn a blank and given up.  Hoping you guys can help.

The gables seem reminiscent of Dutch or perhaps even Spanish Colonial Revival?  The "keystoned" windows (for lack of a better word) are perhaps High Victorian Gothic inspired?

The first floor facade (sort of a muddy grey) is solid masonry (heavily painted, so you can't see the seams).  It looks like it bisects a window (half a story up), but that is actually original.

Appreciate any leads,
Chris

i would say the gable are dutch.

the keystones were a bad decision.  there is no other way to explain that.  there is no stylistic integrity to putting keystones where they don't belong like that.  it isn't post-modern.  it isn't clever.  it isn't attractive.  it's just a bad idea.

I believe curtkram is correct: Dutch Colonial Revival.

Absolutely.  Dutch Colonial.  I'd bet that the funky window detailing with the quoins/voussoirs are a more recent embellishment.

Thank you for the replies.  You nailed it with Dutch Colonial Revival.  The example image on Wikipedia is almost a direct match to the windows and styling on my building.
