This topic came to mind follwing another thread discussing the future of autocad vs. vectorworks and others. I am currently in an MArch program and was wondering which digital media software is currently being used most in practice... and where things seem to be headed.
I"m sure this topic has been beat to death in other strands, but:
AutoCad is still standard. Microstation can be found in some offices.
3d: FormZ, 3d Studio. In some more advanced offices: Rhino, Maya, Top Solid(?), and of course CATIA.
Image Manipulation + Presentation: Adobe is the best and most widely used: photoshop, illustrator, inDesign.
anything else?
