Development within modern architecture is enabling societies to move closer to collective self-actualisation (As defined by Maslow in his 'Hierarchy of Needs')
Development is constantly moving forward in terms of ingenuity and imagination, but is this helping or hindering the world's population as they strive to fulfil all their human needs? Are the spaces being created in this day and age ones in which the mind can expand further than it had in previous eras? Most importantly, is function now being overlooked in favour of form, or vice versa?
