Recruiters?

Hey, I don't know how the job board here works, but umm... As a long time archinect reader, this job listing through a recruiting agency, at "one of the most admired design firms"

http://archinect.com/jobs/description.php?id=79018_0_30_0_C

doesn't sound like the spirit of the job board. I mean, they can post this to monster, they can post this to AIA, but here? Why? I mean, I know the readership is way up, attracting many kinds of readers, and thanks... But here? Read the listing, it wasn't written by an architect.

"If these qualities align with your background, send your resume in confidence to ...@... to initiate a dialog."

Contrast that -tome- with this.

'nuff said.

Feel free to castigate me at will for what some may see as condescension, but I quit reading EVERY other architecture job board on the internet because the real opportunities were thoroughly choked out by recruiter crap.

I agree with you that the job listing was written by a recruiter and most likely not by an architect.
But this doesn't mean it's not a "real opportunity" in an architecture firm.
There are lots of previous posts on the pros and cons of working with recruiters, and on the reasons that various firms may or may not use the services of recruiters. I don't think Archinect discriminates against ads posted by recruiters...
