they said it was a one time workshop...David is flying in from Finland..
I actually am not financially in good shape, but I decided to stretch my wallet for this workshop.. I hope to benefit form this workshop.
I have also been playing with grasshopper...Which I find to be a big jump foward for rhino...(But there are things i still dont understand in regards to tools). The tuorials by David Fano have been a big help for me in understanding grasshopper...
I onced email David Rutten in regars to workshops in the US
if I remember correctly (dont quote me). I believe he said something about not enough people requesting it to mcneel.. that they had been trying to set some up. but not enough request / demand
- Would be nice to have a scripting workshop in California(preferably in LA)...I know alot of people who would definitly be interested

Thank you, John. We will be adding more workshops. Please email me with your contact information and I would be happy to keep you posted with any new developments (dates/location/etc).
WTF does scripting have to do with architecture?! All you wannabe blob wranglers are just gonna end up as somebody's cad monkey, BHATCH! Go to a real school and learn to detail some flashing so you can actually be of use and your entry into the _real world_ won't be as painful for your sorry debt-ridden ass and the burnout who actually has to train you to be a useful and productive team member!!!!111!!!1!11!
Just kidding! Wanted to get that out before anybody else showed up on the thread. Script on!
Did anyone go to the workshop in Paris this past June? I was gonna go to the one at the ESA (which was free as opposed to the one at La Villette) but I overslept, aka got too drunk the night before. Thinking of hitting up the next one in September. Is anyone doing the same?
Thanks so much for your note and your input about the LA area. Good news! I found out recently that in addition to David Rutten, who is based in Finland, we have access to another instructor who lives here in the States. He's in NYC but certainly more convenient than Europe. I'm hoping to add more RhinoScript workshops and LA, NYC and Chicago. So far, requests from LA are at the top of my list.
I'll be in touch as soon as I have more information.
Don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything in the interim. Thanks again!

Hmm, I was not being sarcastic when i said that scripting would unravel the potential of blobs and nurbs surfaces.
Getting bored of that backyard remodelling day job, huh, fountainplace?
I think that Jody is talking about Marc Fornes from
the TheVeryMany who will be giving the rhinoscript paris workshop in september. According to his profile he is based out of nyc.
that was the first thought that ran through my head, for whatever reason i always thought he was in CA [my assumption considering my CA based school tried to get him to come teach]. that's great news all around though. stay tuned...

difficultfix that is awesome, do share the knowledge you gain
I see Rhinoceros making the biggest impact of all. No limits. User driven. Worker owned.
glad this is affordable to all the young designers who would love to be able to go to a workshop....
man i wish this was in LA. Anyone suggest any good books or sites to learn rhino scripting?
on the Rhino Blog there was just a post on that subject this week
http://blog.rhino3d.com/ kind of but all those workshops there will be allot of new people coming out of them doing amazing things i think.
Yeah, saw that and wished I could make it to Seattle. Maybe Psycho Mullet can make the trip up the coast for me.
Maybe California could happen
if enough people request it
if everyone that is interested were to email
the mcneel office. (Jody Mills)

lol sevensixfive,
i concur but still find that the scripting can have its use in practical non-generative ways.
dun stop learning and never never tell other stop learning...
scripting is what will unravel the potential of blobs et al.
