Clear obscuring film?

proto

Has anyone used a clear obscuring film on polycarbonate or glass panels?

The obscuring effect I'm looking for is a soft out-of-focus look.

Please post a contact or link (and a testimonial/editorial?).

most sign shops can give you a clear (by clear I mean no color, not transparent) vinyl that you can put on polycarbonate/glass panels to give it that obscured look. Most shops have a sample book that they will let you look at or will send you. Usually if you tell them you want a sandblasted effect or something similar to p95 (an industry wide acrylic denomination) they will know what you are talking about.

You can also get the vinyl cut into any shape you want. I've used it for logos on corporate office doors and on windows to allow light through, but obscure direct views through the material.
