I'm wondering if any of you Floridians can recommend an architectural fabricator capable of laser cutting large quantities of steel. We have a project in the Caribbean where we'd like to flat pack the structure and ship it down from Florida, so I guess if anyone knows any fabricators in other gulf coast locations that could help as well. Seems like Florida might be more promising because of connections to the aerospace and flight industries.
Good luck working on the islands… My experience has been you need tight CA work to get anything near the level of finishes you typically get in the US.
For a recent project in the Bahamas the GC subcontracted to Eagle Metal in Ft Lauderdale. The steel arrived on island fabricated wrong and we learned that to clear customs it needs to be fully paid for…
