Has anyone else applied or thinking of doing Jumpstart Arch? I think it would be a great program to develop portfolio pieces and get recommendation letters from people in the architectural field. What do you guys think?
I enrolled in UCLA Jumpstart for this summer for the same reasons as you. I'm not sure about you, but I do not come from a design background, but rather, my undergrad was in Construction Engineering. So, I'm looking forward to an eye-opening experience.
I'm also enrolled in the program to gain experience and finish my last prerequisite. I'm a hopeful grad student for the fall but ucla is pokey when it comes to decisions. I'll see you on the 20th!
Hello - just wondering what you thought about this program overall? I am planning on attending this summer. How were the courses in terms of difficulty/manageability as well as the professors? Any tips or feedback would be appreciated.
I am graduating this quarter with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning and am planning on taking the program this summer, hopefully i'll see you there!
UCLA Jumpstart is a great program. It is an intensive, six-week fulltime course in the architectural design studio at UCLA. You get to learn about architecture, design, the industry and get to meet lots of the faculty. Highly recommended.

Thanks for your input Paul!
Maisam - Are you going to live on-campus? I am having trouble deciding.
