The Enterprise Rose Fellowship fosters a unique partnership among a fellow, a host organization and Enterprise to carry out a three-year fellowship plan. The fellow contributes his or her time and energy to work as part of the host organization’s staff, building capacity and bringing fresh experience and ideas to the organization. The host provides mentorship and guidance, supporting the development of the fellow’s career by providing meaningful experiences in design, development, financing, construction management, resident engagement, and community planning. Enterprise provides an annual stipend, coaching, training and opportunities for sharing and learning among the fellows.
For 2012, there will be five new fellowship opportunties. To qualify, applicants must hold a professional degree in architecture. The application process involves responses to essay questions, reviewing and responding to fellowship work plans, transcripts, letters of recommendations, etc. We recommend leaving plenty of time to complete and submit your application. Applicants typically apply to only one fellowship, but may apply to more than one (submitting multiple applications).
The five fellowship opportunities are: Nuestra Comunidad Development Corporation in Boston, Mass.; Detroit Collaborative Design Center in Detroit, Mich.; Saint Paul Riverfront Corporation in Saint Paul, Minn.; Cathedral Square Housing in Burlington, Vt.; and Office of Rural and Farmworker Housing in Yakima, Wash.
Feel free to email rosefellowship@enterprisecommunity.org with questions, or post here and I will respond (or a former/current Rose Fellow will, as many lurk around Archinect)
