What makes a space 'inspiring'?

diddy92

Hello, I'm interested to know your opinions on what really makes an interior space inspirational?

Thanks :)

LIGHT.  Primarily natural, through ample windows, and illumination.

Lighter interior colors, be it paint, carpeting, and finishes.

Regular and irregular geometries - regular enough spaces but mezzanines and other volume changes, such as clerestories, to create variety

Some drama and emotion in the composition.

All of the above refer to important commercial and civil spaces and not so much to a personal dwelling

Save Western

A tall space with large lightly colored or materially natural intricate repeating elements that probably taper as they go up to an unseen clerestory with god-rays shooting through the windows in the rendering. oh and a dove. gotta have that dove.
