Anyone have success with installing Maxwell on their Macs/Parallels? I've tried to install it multiple times on my PC side/Parallels partitioned Mac and having a hell of a time doing it...
everything goes smooth until I actually open the program after the initial install...error msg pops up but doesnt give me a solution/remedy to the problem
Or am I just wasting my time? Is it even possible to install Maxwell on a partitioned Mac?
I have a mac pro, running bootcamp, the xp side is now only slightly faster than the mac side when using maxwell (things are getting dialed-in better on OSX).
I'd set up bootcamp and install that way, then use parallels to run the bootcamp partition in OSX, but you would probably have better results running it natively in OSX, it uses the same files and the same work flow.
check out the maxwell forum, I'm sure your issue has been discussed, if not, send me a detailed description of the problem (screen shots, detailed procedure) and I can pass it on to the developers (I'm part of the testing team)
Running parallels through bootcamp causes licencing isues. You will be ask each time you launch an app in parallels to the enter your licence or serial number, depending on which app your running. You can always run parallels through its own virtual drive and bypass this problom, but that would mean that you will have to install everything including Windows twice.
