what's the deal with autocad and files with proxy graphics? why do my consultants create files that I can't open without getting that annoying box asking me if I want to see them or not? of course I want to see them!!!!!!
Is there any way of converting those objects into old fashion PLines without exploding them first?
without paying an arm and a leg for new software, is it possible to get some plug-in for ACad that will provide for full editorial control over those proxy objects?
or am I doomed to be at my consultants mercy for the duration of this project?

make sure you have the object enablers installed (free downloads from Autodesk)
once installed you shouldn't get the proxy graphic pop-up anymore and you should be able to see the object as intended
