In-House Design vs. Arch. Firm

User11
What are the differences and/or pros and cons working for an in-house architecture/ design team for a company versus working for an architectural firm?

I'm not sure what you are trying to ask. Isn't  an in-house architecture/ design team the same as an architectural firm?

Are you asking the differences between a traditional architectural firm vs an architect / engineer firm (AE) or architect / engineer / construction firm (AEC) or real estate developer with in-house architect / engineer / construction mamager...etc???

By in-house I mean a non architectural company's design team. For example, hotel brands, stores, etc. and the team designs the facilities.

are you just a rubber stamp at the in-house place?  or do you send drawings out to a real architect?

typically a hotel chain has an architecture design firm they deal with in regards to their interiors, and then they'll contract with another firm within the region where they'll place their next hotel to do the shell.  Is this what you're trying to figure out?
