Status on Paper tube structures (PTS)

Gotan

Hi,

I am interested in paper tube structures (PTS),
as a non-structural material but for shading devices.

Beside Shingeru Ban, is this material now a bit more mainstream?

Anyone know of a distributor, specs, wether it's japan for that kind of application for paper tubes?

Also is it really from recycled paper...

I think it's a great idea pionered by Mr Ban, but now it should be pushed out of the novelty issue start being applied in more mainstream cases.

Cheers

mdler, not sure about specs, but WORK's PS1 project is another interesting design that makes use of cardboard tubes.

I think Sonotube is based out of South Carolina. They actually donated a lot to us for a school project a couple years ago.
