I keep getting this error message everytime I try to copy paste from one file to another or even within just one file. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?
I've had this problem before, and it's one of those things that makes you hate Autodesk with a passion.
If I remember correctly, what's happening is that you're opening a drawing that contains Architectural Desktop elements, and straight AutoCAD doesn't know how to handle them.
What you need to do is open the drawing in Architectural Desktop, go to the "File" menu, and select the option that says something like, "Save to AutoCAD..." It's not enough just to do a regular "Save As..."; you have to actually convert the ADT elements to regular AutoCAD geometry.

ugh...
it really sucks to have such little experience and be the only person in the office. Thanks for the tip...
I had this problem the other day - look at the support pages (support.autodesk.com). There's a patch somewhere there.
