hey all i'm looking to work for a "Starchitect" (not horrible - no holl or asymptote) this summer. i'm finishing up on some portfolio work and i'm post processing a rendering if mine. heres the question i have:
when putting people in, if i want to add some photorealistic people/photos, does it ruin the image if some silhouettes are used (along with the photographic images)?
i'm going to experiment it but i would like to see other peoples views of mixed people in renderings
My friend worked for zaha last summer and mixed scaled figures in a rendering and she threw a framed oil-portrait of herself at him and broke his mouse finger. She also made him pay for the re-framing. True story.
I would say no. Keep things consistent. If you want the people to disappear, I wouldn't create variety and differentiation between them. Your image will be distracted from your architecture and the focus would be on the people.
Funny. I think we should segregate all renderings, kind of like Detroit (formerly held the most segregated city in the US only to be beaten by Gary, IN for the 2008 title!). Take that US manufacturing economy!
post processing tip - to apply to starchitect firm

No mixed people in renderings. Only caucasian.

make sure you leave out all railings on balconies/stairs/ramps. and columns.
do include: children with balloons, super models, and exotic cars.
good luck.
Kramer and cheerleaders are a must
THE PHOTOREALISTIC PEOPLE SHOULD BE OF MEN. THE SILHOUETTES SHOULD BE OF SEXY WOMEN BECAUSE WOMEN LOOK BEST IF YOU CANNOT SEE THEIR FACES.
