is there any command/script that would allow me to copy/paste with base point? i made a module in rhino, and trying to copy and paste, and it's getting frustrating
i just learned rhino, and it's bothering me since i am used to autocad
i do indeed. i'm a total autocad person and i've been having trouble with rhino for more than six months now. why are you making the transition? i find that for real life construction autocad is much better. i mean how many real buildings do you see with nurbs surfaces? unfortunately i'm doing a masters degree and everyone in university seems smitten by rhino. i've had to use rhino to learn rhino scripting but i find even that very frustrating and arbitrary - run a script once and it works fine, then three runs later it gets bored and starts giving undecipherable errors!!!
I love drawing 2d in rhino much more than autocad...but I was never the full bore autocad monkey...I have always avoided that program for the most part. I am now doing all 2d and 3d in rhino.

same here i can issue commands faster, love the auto-complete command thing, reminds me of open office where it finishes your words
the power and MUCH wider type of curves that can be created too
