I can't speak for ISU ,KU, or TAMU, but I can say that Penn State and UMiami are pretty good programs. I didn't attend either, but a great professor I once had now teaches at PSU and I've been following up on their program as a potential master's option. He holds a high ranking there now.
I attended a "rival" Miami school, but regret the decision. They have a wide array of topics they cover with more recent topics being more modern and contemporary. I have a lot of coworkers and friends that went there.
Not sure about the software for each, but I imagine they will teach you if you are going for the 3 year program.

ISU vs Penn State vs KU vs TAMU vs University of Miami
For an M. Arch 3 year program, which is the best choice to make ?? In terms of urban design and sustainablity???
Also, what softwares should I be proficient at before starting the program???
