Wooing clients into passive sustainability

WhatsOnTheARE

Has anyone ever tried to design a residence based on sustainable design practices (single, cross ventilation, water features, BUILDING ORIENTATION etc.) and met with success?

If so, what was your approach? How did you woo the client?

PS. Heating/Air-conditioning systems killed occupant comfort while providing occupant comfort (think about it)

I told some clients watch the documentary HOME. And then its very important to translate the environmental performance of the proposed design into how much $$$ it will save them with the utility bills. Maybe there are local incentives for energy performance where you live? Good luck!
