Any of you woodsmen/womyn have experience with high performance wood stoves? I'm looking for something relatively modern looking suitable for space heating an off-grid home.
I'm familiar with Wittus and Vermont castings, and would prefer to stick to cordwood rather locally scarce fuels such as corn or pellets. Are there any good ones from the US?
Thanks guys - I'll put up some installation shots should this hobby/project/white elephant ever happen. That Stuv 60 is awesome - no EPA label but 75% efficient. God bless logs.
actually tumbleweed i think that stove would make a great kitsch addition to a clean, modern home. like an antique sewing machine. one of our contractors has that exact same stove in his game room.

stuv is impossible to get in the states. If you have a dealer please let me know.
