Private student loan: any suggestion?
I am an international student and I am looking into private loan to pay my grad school tuition about 100k.
The University recommends Discover, Citizen Bank, Sallie Mae Bank and Wells Fargo.
If anyone has used one of them before or any other, I would love to hear feedbacks.
Sallie Mae owns most of my loans. They've been fine, it's not something you really experience on a day to day basis, you just set up your loan to debit from your accounts every month and that's all the interaction you have with them usually. I'd say, compare interest rates and origination costs, just go with whoever will give you the best terms.
@rationalist thanks for the feedbacks. Yeah it seems like Sallie Mae is the oldest ones doing student loans, what they offer seems pretty good too. Do you remember how much time did it take you to process the loan?
