When you were in school and entering the work force, who influenced your designs and approach?  Who did not?

Influenced by:  Meier, Pei, Polshek (now Ennear), Arquitectonica, KPF (their modernist buildings), Roche, HOK (some), Pelli (some), Jean Nouvel

Not influenced by:  Gehry, Morphosis, Graves, Venturi

These come to mind.

when i was in the academic setting, i was influenced by;

-whatever studio professor i had that semeter

- will this project reflect getting a job in the real world

- metaphor

- how fast can i get this done

-how can i up one on the guy/girl next to me

influenced by Piano, Wright, Kahn, Corbusier, Herzog to an extent and the first firm I worked for, Cunningham Architects in Dallas.
