While writing our post "Building Systems Terms" we came across this video that explains British Thermal Units and gives a Rule of Thumb to use when calculating how many BTUs will be needed to condition a space.
The Short of It
To adequately heat or condition a space, ause 5 BTUs per Cubic foot
For spaces smaller than 800 Cubic Feet, use 4 BTUs per Cubic Foot;
Remember Volume = L x W x H
