Does anyone know how to control the near and far clipping planes of a camera in Rhino...Im trying to render sectional perspective shots and cant seem to find anything regarding this in Rhino's help...
right now there isn't a way to control a camera's clipping plane--there is a way to create a layout that uses a clipping plane or you can use Archcut. I recently ran into a issue with a rhino cam where I was "losing" all of the far geometry (somehow the far clipping plane was set too close) and the fix was deleting extraneous text and point objects--apparently there's a display issue with thousands of text/point objects--check out the rhino newsgroups if you want more of the story.
There are clipping planes in Rhino 4. They are still pretty buggy and only seem to work with the rhino developed renders such as the included Rhino render, Flamingo and possibly Brazil.

Maybe there's a really obvious reason, but couldn't you just split the model and cap the ends?
