m arch related - deadline freakout

uhhhhh

i overnighted my portfolio to princeton on friday, and through tracking information, i found that the 'business was closed'. the deadline for submitting is today, and according to their website, they should be open. i have tried calling their office and i do not get a reply.

any chance this has happened to anyone else? am i screwed or will they accept it on Jan 2nd?

If its postmarked before the deadline, then your fine. You have to realize that not all the portfolio will come exactly on the dead line.

well, actually I sent mine today with one of those delivery services but being an applicant outside the US (I live in Europe) it won't get there until Jan3. Having overnighted my portofolio as well I am more freaked about having done not so such a good job (well, it's Princeton...) after all and not really about the deadliine. Plus, because my printer broke down just as I was leaving to mail it I ended up handwriting the cover letter - imagine that! Well, one application down the drain for me I guess...

jojo9 -

be sure to cancel the cheque. ;)

Applications "requirements" are ... more like guidelines.
Got too many images? Don't worry they won't toss it out the window. I got accepted to a school even though I forgot to pay the fee. You could brake every requirement, but if an "important" person likes what you do send, you're in with a scholarship. I think that applies through the the entire education.

I wouldn't worry about it. I just graduated from Princeton...they're pretty small and unorganized...like someone mentioned, they won't look at the things for awhile.

yeah, this whole month has just been hell, culminating in this week. overnighted yale today and had to hand deliver gsd in full zombie mode. wonderful ...

I have to say though, your handwritten cover letter takes the cake!!!! you gotta show us a handwriting sample so we can see what you were working with, i'm hoping you busted out calligraphy pens or at least some rapidographs!

4 more to go ... anyone else applying to AA?
