Harvard Application

pvb358

Does Harvard require a statement or essay of any sort? I can't find anything.

That was poor wording. It seems as if Harvard does not require any written portion in their application. Is this true? No essay or statement of purpose?

that's not true. if i remember correctly, when you actually start the online application process, it asks you to upload your soi.

I've noticed something strange.  From looking at this forum, it seems the only people who have trouble following directions on grad school apps are the students applying to Ivy League and other 'top tier' schools.  On one hand, I can see that many of the students who apply to these schools are the perfectionist-type and just want extra verification. On the other, shouldn't the best of the best be able to figure it out on their own?

Sorry, if this is rude.  I'm just in the middle of finals and need to blow off steam.

The best of the best are those who have gotten in. Those applying are just "applicants". Maybe that's the difference?
