Does anybody know what is the submission deadline for portfolios to get into MIT's SMarchS program? The deadline for the application is Dec. 15. Does this include the portfolio, or can the portfolio be submitted at a later date: Jan 2?
I am considering adding MIT to my list of prospective schools. But it all depends on the portfolio submission deadline. I will try to call admissions sometime during their business hours, but I am just anxious to find out the date right now before the weekend is over.
An application for admission in September must be received by December 15 of the previous year (for example, applications for Fall of 2008 must be received by December 15, 2007). The MArch program does not accept applications for entry in the spring term. It is the responsibility of the applicant to be sure that the completed application forms and all supporting materials are received by the department on time at the following address:
Yes, I have read this passage from the website. But I also remember reading somewhere that the portfolio can be submitted at a later date. And no I do not know where I had read that info. I was just looking to see if anybody can verify. And yes I will call the admissions in person to ask. I was hoping to see if anybody knew before MIT's business hrs.
Our deadline for admissions to our graduate programs is December 15 for following September admittance. The portfolio can arrive separately by January 2. These are the graduate programs for the December 15 deadline:
* Master of Architecture (MArch)
* Master of Science in Architecture Studies (SMArchS)
* Master of Science in Visual Studies (SMVisS)
* Master of Science in Building Technology (SMBT)
* PhD (all research areas)
All materials can be mailed to:
