A few years ago, my sense as to how I would progress up the ranks felt more clear based on my goals and skills. With the current conditions and all the horror stories of folks who fall out of the market unable to get back in, I'm less certain.
How have other recent graduates/licensees progressed in the new world order? In-house promotion? Job-jumping? Striking out on your own?
I have 4 years exp at the 2 year level(BIM production) no IDP - tried to get other jobs - but when they see the lack of progress - there are too many at year 4 that are far further along. I am refocusing my efforts more along the line of BIM software and programming - I think it's safe to say I missed the boat to architect.
