I go to UT Austin and I'm enrolled in a double-major so that I will graduate with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering and the standard 5-year B.Arch. After I finish undergrad I would like to go to graduate school to get a master's in landscape architecture. Hopefully, maybe someday, I can work for myself. Can anyone comment on my plans for school? Thank you.
Cool. I think those are still 3 years, even with architecture. I think it's an interesting combination, if your interests span across various realms of the built environment. Keep in mind that you will have to keep up on two different types of licenses and continuing education requirements.
As an aside, I've often wondered if people contemplating both architecture and landscape architecture, and then pick landscape architecture, have cognitive dissonance over the decision.
