I want to read some more on this topic, how a room should be arranged to look good, what furniture and colors work well with each other, are there books like that or should i continue studying other people's work and find out why all the elements work so well witch each other?
there are no fixed rules.. its about individual taste. you could start with any 'principles of design' book to start out with and cater to your own needs
