I was thinking of applying for a research-based masters program, particularly looking at the west coast, but while Berkeley's MS in architecture seems to fit the bill, I haven't really ever heard anyone recommend it (unlike the professionally-oriented MArch and MCP, or research-based graduate degrees at other institutions). Is there a reason for this?
Any input would be most welcome - thanks!
